4 months (at least 12 lbs) to 7 years old.
We would follow your baby's adjusted age.
Although my method is not cry it out, I can't guarantee there won't be crying. Adjusting habits and routines that your little one is used to is different for them. Crying is how they communicate their disapproval of these changes. It is a cry of protest, not one of neglect. I remind my clients that your child is loved, safe, warm, and fed. You are teaching them an invaluable skill just as we teach walking, potty training, using utensils, etc. There is often protest in these with age appropriate communication as well.
No! There is no research that shows sleep training causes any harm. In fact, the research supports the benefits of what restorative sleep does for children.

No! Every child and family is different, and it can come down to nature vs nurture. Some children are naturally easy sleepers while others take a lot of nurture. Even if your child needs a lot of nurture for sleep, if it works for you and is sustainable, you do not need to sleep train. If you have found yourself on my page, you may be wondering if what you're doing is sustainable, and I'd be happy to help.
So much of what I do will also depend on you. Because of this, I cannot guarantee results. I will provide a plan, guidance, support, and troubleshoot if necessary. However, if you follow the plan and keep communication honest and thorough, I will help you meet your sleep goals!
My job is to help set you up for success! After our initial call and receiving the intake forms and logs, I will create a custom sleep plan that you will receive two hours prior to your scheduled 60 minute training call. After implementing the sleep plan, I will check in by email three times a day, once in the morning after receiving your log of the previous day, once in the afternoon, and once close to bedtime (these can be adjusted to once or twice if you prefer). Outside of those times, I will respond as promptly as I can within the day. If it is a night with bedtime support, I will be available by phone or email until your child falls asleep. With the Bedtime Helper videos, I will send an introduction one prior to implementing the sleep plan and short encouragement ones as needed after that. At the end of our time, we will schedule an exit call or email that includes your child's progress, reminders, and future information pertaining to their age. I will be there every step of the way, remind you where you were and where you want to be, and will celebrate your newly found sleep!
As the client, you will fill out an intake questionnaire on your child with as much detail as you can. You will also provide a three day sleep and feeding log. This information is imperative for creating a personalized sleep plan. Each morning (ideally by 10 am) after starting, you will email a sleep log of the previous day's naps (times, lengths, mood), bedtime (when and how they fell asleep), any night wakings (times, how they went, what was done), morning wake time, behavior throughout the day, and any questions or concerns. These details and thorough communication will allow for adjustments and the best recommendations to be made. Following my advice and the sleep plan while staying consistent will allow for your sleep goals to be met.
